SENSITIVE DATA, LESS EXPOSURE

Two layers of redaction.
Less sensitive data in your logs.

Sensitive-data redaction is built into both the app-tracker npm package and the backend. Recognized secrets and personal data are masked, and sensitive URL details are removed.

01

Before sendingThe package sanitizes log messages and structured parameters, including nested objects.

02

Before storageThe backend sanitizes incoming logs again. Log storage also uses encryption.

Recognized patterns include passwords, tokens, API keys, email addresses and IP addresses. Sensitive URL details are removed. Redaction is pattern-based: review what your application logs.

A FEW PRACTICAL DETAILS

Application logging FAQ

How integration, log protection and monitoring work in App Tracker.

What is App Tracker?

App Tracker is an application logging and monitoring platform. It brings structured logs, analytics dashboards, saved searches, URL healthchecks and notification profiles into a company workspace.

How do I send logs from a browser or Node.js application?

Install the app-tracker npm package and initialize it with your application's API key. The package supports TypeScript and JavaScript, configurable batching and retries. See the npm installation and browser quick start, or the package documentation for Node.js configuration.

How are sensitive data protected in logs?

The npm package sanitizes messages and structured parameters before sending. The backend sanitizes incoming logs again, and log storage uses encryption. Recognized secrets and personal data are masked; sensitive URL details are removed. See the log redaction example. Pattern-based redaction does not replace reviewing the data your application logs.

Can I search logs and receive alerts?

Yes. Filter logs by text, severity, time range and custom properties, save searches and trace browser events through correlation IDs. Configure log notification profiles and scheduled URL healthchecks to monitor application issues.

Does this landing page track visitors?

The landing-page code does not use visitor analytics, tracking cookies or the App Tracker logging package. Technical hosting data may still be processed to deliver and secure the website. Read the landing-page privacy policy for details.
